“Three towers reached the top on the same day! The world’s longest cross-sea railway bridge reaches a crucial milestone”

On September 3, the construction of the world’s longest cross-sea railway bridge – the newly built Nantong-Ningbo high-speed railway (Tongyong High-Speed Railway) Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge – reached a critical stage. On the same day, the three main towers of bridges No. 81, 82, and 83 were capped, marking the completion of all seven main towers of the three navigation bridges of the Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge. The construction has fully entered the steel beam erection phase, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent joint closure of the entire bridge and the completion of the main structure. The Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge is a key project of the Tongyong High-Speed Railway. It is located upstream of the existing Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Highway Bridge, starting from Haiyan in Jiaxing in the north and reaching Cixi in Ningbo in the south. It spans the waters of Hangzhou Bay, with a total length of 29.2 kilometers and a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. It is currently the world’s longest and highest-standard cluster-style cross-sea railway bridge under construction. The bridge consists of three navigation bridges in the north, middle, and south, as well as sea-side approach bridges and shallow area approach bridges. The Navigation Bridge capped this time was designed by China Railway Bridge Research Institute and constructed by China Railway Bridge Engineering Group, and it is a key controlled project for the entire bridge. The bridge has a total length of 1430.8 meters, with a cross-section arrangement of (85.4+182+2×448+182+85.4) meters, and it is a double...
