According to a report released by the OECD on September 8, 2026, students who rely excessively on artificial intelligence (AI) for homework have significantly lower scores in science subjects compared to normal students. Data shows that these students’ science scores are 28 points lower than those who do not use AI-assisted homework. The report highlights the negative impact of excessive use of AI in academic tasks on learning outcomes, indicating that if students use AI as a shortcut to completing homework rather than a learning tool, they will struggle to grasp core knowledge and experience declining grades.
