This pilot project connects key links in Yangtze River maritime transport, ports along the river, and railway transportation. It intelligently collects data from various nodes of maritime transport, ports, and railways. Using container numbers as unified traceability identifiers after converting bulk goods into containers, full-process tracking and control are implemented to break down the information barriers at multiple transfer stages of imported grain. This can increase the efficiency of multimodal transport by 30%, and the total transportation time can be reduced by 20 days compared to traditional maritime transport methods, and by 6 to 7 days compared to ordinary multimodal transport methods. This is a pilot implementation of the integration of the “three networks” – the Sichuan-Chongqing grain and oil industry supply guarantee network, the logistics network, and the data network – providing a practical example for digital multimodal transport of bulk goods along the Yangtze River economic belt.
