Import AI 468: 23 RSI ideas; PostTrainBench+; and how trust and transparency interplay with AI racing
IFP Think Tank released a policy proposal for automated artificial intelligence research and development (RSI) containing 23 specific recommendations, covering seven categories such as transparency, risk management, and AI resilience. The study aims to help countries, especially the United States, increase options for coping during the development of powerful systems, accelerate the spread of AI capabilities, and enhance research and development safety. Meanwhile, researchers from MIT and Columbia University pointed out in their article “The Destruction Race” that the key to achieving stable deceleration among competitors lies in the transparency of technological development and the ability to model opponents as credible and rational actors.
