Starting in the spring of 2020, Taiwan conducted a six-year investigation aimed at tracking the infiltration activities targeting Chinese underground chip laboratories. The focus of the investigation was on an American company called Blue Ocean Smart System, which was suspected of conducting chip research for China. Relevant engineers claimed that they were fortunate enough to get jobs as chip designers, thereby gaining access to the target laboratories. Currently, the Taiwanese authorities are continuing this investigation to further confirm and track the details of these infiltration activities.
