Peng Lei, Product Director of Huawei’s smart selection vehicle line, wrote that for family cars, the endgame is MPVs. Therefore, he decided to continue focusing on the home-use market and develop the Enjoy V8. At the time of project initiation, the core goal was to improve “operating economy”. The design aimed to overcome the engineering challenges of achieving low wind resistance while maintaining aesthetics and large space, adhering to an underlying design principle where aerodynamics is prioritized. After hundreds of wind tunnel CFD simulations, the Enjoy V8 optimized the body shape and chassis details while ensuring sufficient seating and loading space for the whole family. It achieved an ultra-low wind resistance coefficient of 0.226, making it the MPV with the lowest wind resistance coefficient under standard operating wind speeds. The vehicle previously made its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show, and video of wind tunnel tests was shown. Yu Chengdong, executive director of Huawei, revealed that the Enjoy V8 will be available to the public this month. The new vehicle features a closed-front design, emphasizing “gentleness and fullness”. It retains electric sliding doors and is equipped with a new Xingheng wheel hub, combining luxury and sportiness to meet various travel needs.
