On September 8, 2026, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment announced that China’s biodiversity conservation efforts had achieved further results. Relevant reports indicated that through continuous ecological protection measures, the number of wild animal and plant populations has steadily increased, the quality of habitats has improved, and the stability of ecosystems has enhanced, making the achievements in biodiversity conservation increasingly evident.
9 月 7 日，“昆明—蒙特利尔全球生物多样性框架”实施进展全球审查对话会在云南昆明举行。生态环境部部长黄润秋指出，中国已率先完成国家战略与行动计划更新，推动 27 项国家目标中的 21 项取得显著进展，为“昆蒙框架”目标实现提供支撑。作为联合国《生物多样性公约》第十五次缔约方大会主席国，中国推动达成该框架并启动运行昆明生物多样性基金。黄润秋强调，全球生物多样性保护政治意愿持续高涨，各缔约方应系统性推进行动、兑现承诺、全面复盘以优化路径，凝聚共治合力确保目标如期实现。
