Meta has launched a new artificial intelligence assistant called ‘Agent’, aimed at improving employees’ work efficiency. This tool allows employees to generate code, write documents, or analyze data using natural language commands. However, to balance productivity with employee well-being, Meta has imposed limits on usage frequency, prohibiting employees from excessively using AI functions within a single day to prevent phenomena such as ‘tokenmaxxing’ (i.e., irrational behavior caused by excessive pursuit of token quantity).
“Meta is reducing the pressure on employees to use artificial intelligence tools, while encouraging them to try the latest project Hatch. The company is adjusting the evaluation criteria for employees’ use of AI tools, no longer emphasizing tokenmaxxing (i.e., obtaining rewards by generating large amounts of content), and instead supporting employees’ experimental exploration on Hatch. This move aims to balance efficiency and creativity, allowing employees to experience Meta’s most advanced artificial intelligence achievements in an environment where performance pressure is reduced.”
