The production line of Zhejiang Zuanba Electric Bicycle Co., Ltd. involved in the incident was sealed up, and some vehicles were seized. Local market supervision departments have initiated investigations into 53 related entities, confirming that more than 8,000 vehicles were illegally modified, with a total of 58 cases filed. The new national standard GB 17761—2024 came into effect on September 1, 2025. Taizhou is currently formulating an “Action Plan for the High-Quality Development of the Electric Two-Wheeled Vehicle Industry” to promote standardized regulation in the industry.
