According to sources, Nvidia will launch the GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card equipped with the GB203 GPU. This model is based on the GB203 core, which has 10,742 CUDA cores and a 256-bit memory bus width. However, 42.8% of the CUDA cores and 25% of the memory channels are disabled. In contrast, the existing GeForce RTX 5070 is based on the GB205 GPU, with 6,144 CUDA cores and a 192-bit memory bus width. Nvidia has previously launched the GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card based on the GB205. Using a significantly reduced “upper-level” core not only allows for full utilization of the remaining GPU but also helps to balance supply and demand among different GPUs.
