# Tesla Cybercab officially launched in the US; exhibits in Beijing and Shanghai possibly in September
On September 4, Tesla announced through its official Weibo that its cyber-driven electric vehicle, Cybercab, has officially started operations in Austin, Texas, USA. This is the world’s first mass-produced vehicle designed specifically for autonomous driving scenarios, completely eliminating the steering wheel, pedals, and traditional rearview mirrors. Cybercab is Tesla’s first original product entirely tailored for autonomous ride-hailing scenarios, with all driving decisions made by Tesla’s FSD (Full Self-Driving) autonomous driving system. The cabin only features two long-backrest seats and a central control touchscreen, allowing passengers to control the seats, air conditioning, and doors via the screen. Tesla says that private cars are in a parked state for about 95% of the time, while Cybercab will continue to be driven to meet more travel needs with higher efficiency.
