The Ministry of Science and Technology conducted the “Rooted at the Grassroots” research in Shaanxi
The Ministry of Science and Technology conducted a “Rooted at the Grassroots” survey in Shaanxi. From August 31 to September 2, a research team led by the Science and Technology Fund Supervision Service Center carried out a three-day in-depth and immersive survey in Xi’an, Shaanxi, focusing on “measures for the supervision and implementation of major national science and technology projects”. The team was headed by the Science and Technology Fund Supervision Service Center and consisted of members from various departments such as the Working Committees of Central and State Organs, the offices of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and directly affiliated institutions. They visited universities, research institutes, and enterprises to understand in detail the experiences, practices, and real difficulties faced by various scientific research units in the supervision and management of major national science and technology projects, in order to optimize and improve science and technology supervision policies. The team visited Chang'an University and Xi’an Jiaotong University to systematically learn about their experience in project management and achievement transformation in fields such as “comprehensive transportation and intelligent transportation” and “new energy vehicles”. They also conducted on-site inspections at the China Western Science and Technology Innovation Port of Xi’an Jiaotong University and invited multiple universities including Northwest Institute of Technology, Northwest A&F University, and Xidian University to hold a symposium. The discussions focused on cross-unit collaboration mechanisms, difficulties in supervising scientific research funds, and other related issues.
