Three departments jointly take action! The "Automotive Guidelines" first establishes a compliance "red line" for auto manufacturers going global. Sicheng Automotive leads the response.
The Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the “Automobile Guidelines”, which for the first time set a “red line” for car companies’ overseas operations to comply with regulations. The document consists of four chapters and twenty articles, aiming to promote the healthy and orderly internationalization of the automotive industry, with emphasis on regulating overseas marketing, safety production, data security, and other business activities abroad. SAIC Group was the first to respond, stating that it would adhere to legal and regulatory standards and improve its compliance system overseas. The industry believes that this move marks a new stage in China’s automotive industry’s “going global” – from rapid expansion to a phase where both expansion and regulation are equally important.
