In the second quarter of 2026, the global memory chip market recovered, with significant growth in demand for DRAM. SK Hynix Semiconductor reported revenue of $17.84 billion during that quarter, a substantial increase of 59.5% compared to the previous quarter. Its market share surpassed Samsung Electronics for the first time, making it the world’s largest DRAM supplier. In contrast, Samsung Electronics’ DRAM revenue was $60.98 billion, a 63.4% increase from the previous quarter, but its market share dropped to 39.4%; Micron Technology’s revenue was $36 billion, with its market share rising to 23.3%. SK Hynix stated that it will continue to optimize its supply chain and expand production capacity for advanced processes to strengthen its market position.
