The “China Anti-Unfair Competition Enforcement Annual Report (2025)” released by the State Administration for Market Regulation shows that in 2025, a total of 14,679 cases of unfair competition were investigated nationwide, with a total fine amount of 615 million yuan. Among these, 1,932 cases involved online unfair competition. The report indicates that the administration has completed the revision of the “Anti-Unfair Competition Law of the People’s Republic of China” and issued the “Guidelines for Pharmaceutical Companies on Preventing Commercial Bribery Risks”. In addition, relevant departments have launched special campaigns to rectify online unfair competition practices and carry out special inspections against false advertising of drugs and health products for the elderly, effectively curbing phenomena such as “deceptive marketing” in private live broadcasts targeting the elderly.
