According to the US newspaper The New York Times, although a Chinese technology giant has been listed on the US Entity List, which restricts its purchase of certain high-end semiconductor products, the company still managed to obtain advanced artificial intelligence (AI) chips from the United States recently. The report states that the company circumvented some export controls through complex supply chain arrangements or special channels, continuing to acquire AI processors manufactured in the US to meet its research, development, and deployment needs in the field of generative artificial intelligence.
