The super political action committee Build American AI, supported by Andreessen Horowitz, Ben Horowitz, and Greg Brockman, the president of OpenAI, plans to advertise in key swing states such as Kansas, Ohio, and Wisconsin to lobby voters in favor of its funded data center construction project. The organization is affiliated with the LTF (Lutheran Technical Foundation), with a budget of several million dollars. As of the time of reporting, the LTF has donated over 50 million dollars to specific politicians. Andreessen Horowitz, as the largest donor in midterm elections, has spent more than 115 million dollars, and also engages in political funding in the field of cryptocurrencies. OpenAI has publicly stated that it does not directly control the organization’s activities and has condemned some of its strategies.
