“Questioned for being too slow in car manufacturing! Mercedes responds: Some time is simply unavoidable.”
Mercedes-Benz responded to concerns about the slow pace of car production by stating that “some time is simply unavoidable” and announced that the new GLE with a longer wheelbase follows global standards. It has undergone nearly 5 million kilometers of durability testing (including 1.1 million kilometers in China), with the body made of double-sided galvanized steel plates and fully sealed welds. Regarding the controversy over the intelligent features of gasoline vehicles, this model is equipped with the Momenta R6 advanced learning model and a driver assistance system developed specifically for China. It can be used in urban areas and on highways nationwide. In the future, it will be upgraded to use the Momenta R7 global model. In response to accusations that foreign brands do not understand Chinese consumers, Mercedes-Benz stated that it has been operating in the Chinese market for 40 years. The new GLE has a wheelbase extended by 120 mm to 3,115 mm, with exclusive entertainment systems and multi-point seat massage in the rear compartment. Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with a 3.0-liter EVO six-cylinder engine and the only electric turbocharger standard in its class. Combined with AIRMATIC air suspension and 4MATIC intelligent four-wheel drive system, it offers both intelligent assistance and excellent driving experience.
