Smooth Media granted equity to AI creator CatGPT (Cat Goetze) as its first external shareholder, in recognition of its contributions as a strategic advisor. The startup was founded in 2021 and currently represents over 70 creators from fields such as marketing, finance, and human resources, including her. Smooth Media stated that it has no plans to introduce external capital and prioritizes strategic support. CatGPT has over 1.4 million followers on Instagram and TikTok, some of which were acquired by teaching AI usage skills. Currently, Smooth Media’s focus is on organizing live events. Goetze plans to host a launch event for Cat Labs in Los Angeles next month, as the first collaboration with the team.
