Maserati will cooperate with Huawei and Jianghuai to launch an electric vehicle based on Zenia in 2027.
According to an article in the Italian newspaper *Milan Finanza* on September 4, the luxury brand Maserati under Stellantis plans to collaborate with Huawei and Jianghuai Automobile to launch electric vehicles based on Zunjie. If the agreement is reached, production of the new vehicles will begin by the end of 2027. The three parties have clear responsibilities: Huawei will be in charge of product definition and in-vehicle technology, Jianghuai will handle engineering and manufacturing, while Maserati will provide design, brand management, and international sales networks. The project adopts a “dual-brand” strategy: sales in China will be through Zunjie, and overseas through Maserati. The agreement has not yet been signed, but it is expected to be announced at Maserati’s Investor Day in Modena, Italy, in December this year. This collaboration aims to shorten the development cycle for next-generation electric vehicles, leverage advanced Chinese software technologies, and help Maserati cope with its challenging financial situation (delivery volume decreased by 30% in 2025, with a net loss of 198 million euros).
