“China’s power battery industry system is complete, with sales increasing by 37.1% year-on-year from January to July”

From January to July 2026, the cumulative sales of power batteries in China reached 790.4 GWh, a year-on-year increase of 37.1%. China has established a complete industrial system covering basic materials, cell manufacturing, system integration, equipment, and recycling. The energy density of lithium iron phosphate and ternary batteries continues to improve, while sodium-ion batteries and hybrid solid-liquid batteries have been industrialized. All-solid-state batteries have become the focus of future research. More than 10,000 power battery recycling points have been established nationwide, and the safety standard system is continuously improved. The industry is expanding into fields such as ships, aviation, and intelligent robots.
