# From AI home appliances to new species competitions, IFA 2026 has become a European annual event for Chinese technology On September 4th, the International Consumer Electronics Show (IFA) in Berlin, Germany, officially opened. Half of the nearly 2,000 manufacturers were from China. At Berlin Brandenburg Airport, advertisements from Xiaomi and Anker Innovation covered almost the entire area around and outside the exhibition grounds. Brands such as Haier, Zemi, Xiaomi, and Midea also appeared in front of the exhibition halls. As one of the three top consumer electronics exhibitions worldwide, IFA has become an important platform for Chinese manufacturers to expand their operations globally. Inside the venues, in the rest areas, and at Uber pick-up points, English and Chinese were the only languages spoken. During the exhibition, the number of Chinese exhibitors increased significantly; the quality of the exhibits was evident—just four days before the opening, some stands had already been set up, with staff working diligently among them. From models to terminals, AI is fully integrating into daily life. Manufacturers such as AMD, Xiaomi, and Alibaba AliExpress made appearances.
