“Xiaomi launches the “Dragon Armor Battery Peace of Mind Guarantee Program”: Compensation for scrapped vehicles due to spontaneous combustion caused by battery quality, along with a new vehicle of the same configuration”
Xiaomi, in collaboration with Zhongchuang Innovation Aviation and Sunwoda, launched the “Longjia Battery Peace of Mind Guarantee Program”. This program stipulates that for vehicles that are scrapped due to spontaneous combustion caused by the quality of original batteries, compensation will be provided for a new vehicle with the same specifications; for vehicles that are scrapped due to fires caused by battery collisions or chassis scratches, compensation will be given for the difference between the vehicle damage insurance policy amount and the actual compensation amount. Xiaomi is responsible for the entire process, leading the design and development of battery packs, and participating in the design of battery cells as well as the quality control throughout the entire process.
