This funding was led jointly by Point72 Ventures and Spark Capital, bringing the company’s total financing to $2.3 billion. Stoke Space plans to use this money to accelerate the development and testing of its new Block 2 version of medium-sized launch vehicles, which have the capability to deliver 15 tons of payload into low Earth orbit in a fully reusable configuration. This financing aims to support Stoke Space in preparing for orbital launches and operations, thereby progressing in its competition with SpaceX for reusable rocket technology.
