Li Kaifu, founder of ZeroOne Everything, said in an interview with Bloomberg that the gap between Chinese AI models and top models from American companies like OpenAI and Anthropic is only about six months, and the prices have significantly decreased. He predicted that the market landscape will repeat the situation of the smartphone era: American companies like iPhone earn high profits, while Chinese companies like Android gain a larger user base through open-source models, becoming the default infrastructure in developing countries. Against the backdrop of limited chip availability, Li Kaifu pointed out that Chinese engineers can achieve results comparable to those of the US side with extreme innovation efficiency and extremely low computing power. Additionally, he warned that AI will reshape corporate organizations, with core positions in the future being those of people who design problems and direct AI to solve them simultaneously, and the field of “human interaction” will become the fastest-growing industry.
