With only a few months left until the release of `GTA 6`, Rockstar Games faces a final hearing in the British labor court due to labor disputes with 31 former employees of Rockstar North. This week, the British Independent Workers’ Group (IWGB) represented these 31 employees, accusing Rockstar of “illegally” dismissing them for union activities and placing them on a blacklist, demanding reinstatement or compensation and declaring this an unfair dismissal. Previously, Rockstar had dismissed the employees on the grounds of breach of confidentiality agreements, but the labor court ruled in favor of Rockstar. The hearing will run from September 10 to October 16, local time. British Prime Minister Keir Starmer expressed concern over the rights of workers in this case. Additionally, Take-Two, Rockstar’s parent company, is using legal means to demand that Discord provide information on users who have shared game images, and the size of the union organization supporting Rockstar continues to grow.
