The Asia-Pacific Media High-end Forum will open in Shenzhen on September 5. More than 400 Chinese and foreign representatives from 42 countries and international organizations will attend the event. As an important part of APEC’s “China Year” series of activities, the forum is themed “Building a Prosperous Asia-Pacific Community: Consensus and Action by the Media,” aiming to reach a common understanding for promoting cooperative development in the Asia-Pacific region. Before the opening, participants visited Guangzhou, Foshan, and other places to observe the forefront of reform and opening up as well as the development prospects of the Greater Bay Area. They discussed topics such as industrial innovation and digital transformation. During the forum, four sub-forums will be held. Representatives from Chinese and foreign media think tanks will exchange views on openness, mutual benefit, and telling China’s story well, emphasizing the importance of high-quality reporting and practical cooperation for promoting common prosperity in the Asia-Pacific region.
