Apple has recently experienced consecutive changes at its senior level. CEO Tim Cook has officially resigned, followed by Phil Schiller, head of the App Store, who also announced his departure. Schiller has been with the company since 1987 and has held this position since 2015. He was responsible for leading the antitrust litigation against Epic Games and subsequent operations. Although he will no longer be a senior executive, he will continue to serve as an Apple researcher, working on undisclosed projects, and is seen by industry experts as a precursor to retirement. The daily operations of the App Store will be handed over to Carson Oliver, who has been in his position for over 14 years, and will be managed by the business unit led by Eddie Cue. This change is part of a series of departures at Apple’s senior level, including the recent retirements or resignations of former Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams, Vice President of Environmental Policy Lisa Jackson, and Payment Head Jennifer Bailey.
