Actuators and precision gears enable robots to move with millimeter-level accuracy or maintain balance on uneven surfaces; related production capabilities are highly concentrated, with Rockwell Automation and ABB being examples of stocks in this area. Sensors allow robots to obtain data in real time and imitate actions, requiring “skin” that can sense pressure and friction – companies in this field include Synaptics Incorporated, Ouster, and Luminar Technologies. Additionally, companies such as Nvidia, Arm Holdings, and AMD provide computing and power hardware specifically for robots.
