On September 5, Harbin Engineering University, in collaboration with 13 other “E Weixi” alumni companies including Shihang Intelligence, established an E Weixi Development Fund with a total amount of over 15 million yuan. This fund aims to support the school’s scientific and technological innovation and the cultivation of young talents, focusing on fields such as intelligent underwater robots. It adopts the model of “industry posing problems, teachers and students solving them, and jointly building an ecosystem”. The E Weixi Association was established in 2001, having trained more than 20,000 alumni and won numerous awards. Yin Jingwei, the president of Harbin Engineering University, stated that he will deepen the reform of innovation and entrepreneurship education; Chen Xiaobo, the founder of Shihang Intelligence, hopes to further strengthen collaborative education between schools and enterprises and explore new models of integration of industry and education.
