FTSE Russell reviews China Core Index, with several leading semiconductor companies from the Sci-Tech Innovation Board included
FTSE Russell recently announced changes to its FTSE China A50 Index and FTSE China 50 Index, incorporating Zhongwei Microelectronics, Shengyi Technology, Huahong HiSilicon, and Lanqi Technology as constituent stocks. These adjustments will take effect on Monday, September 21. The reallocation involves leaders in hard-tech sectors such as semiconductor equipment, materials, wafer manufacturing, and memory chips, aiming to increase the weight of foreign investment in China’s core assets. As a key indicator of global capital allocation in Chinese assets, the adjustment of the FTSE China A50 Index is seen as a direct reflection of foreign investment’s views on China’s industrial development trends. Currently, there are 12 fund products linked to this index, with a total scale of 19 billion yuan.
