It is reported that Li Auto has introduced a third battery supplier, and the i6 will be the first model to use products from Changan Innovation Power.

In September 2026, Li Auto announced that Zhongchuang Xianhang would become its third power battery supplier. According to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the battery assemblies used in the 2026 Li Auto i6 were produced by Shandong Li Auto Battery Co., Ltd., with Xinwangda and Zhongchuang Xianhang as the battery cell manufacturers; for the 2025 Li Auto i6, Ningde Times and Xinwangda’s batteries were used. Zhongchuang Xianhang is the second-largest power battery supplier in China after Ningde Times and BYD, specializing in ternary lithium battery technology. Previously, Ma Donghui, president of Li Auto, stated that starting from 2026, all models will use a dual-battery approach with both “Li Auto brand” and Ningde Times brand batteries, regardless of the supplier, with performance, quality, and safety standards meeting unified requirements.
