Shanghai police uncovered the OBS/OBX-AI cheat case in “Delta Operations”, with assistance from Tencent security team to arrest 2 suspects
With the assistance of Tencent’s game security team, Shanghai police carried out an operation in Dandong, Liaoning, successfully arresting the developers and general agents of the OBS and OBX-AI cheats for the game “Delta Operations”. The police also seized the source code of the cheats. Currently, Shanghai police have imposed criminal measures on the two suspects. It is reported that the developers used open-source code from the internet to illegally modify and compile, creating the OBS and OBX-AI cheats. The general agent then recruited lower-level agents through game discussion groups, promoting and selling the cheats via online platforms, gradually forming a multi-level sales chain. This operation achieved a full-chain crackdown on the cheating gang. Tencent stated that the claim of “AI to detect new cheats, new technologies to stabilize cheating” is merely a fabricated claim by the cheating industry to attract cheaters. The security team has achieved accurate detection and rapid response to various AI cheats. The online anti-cheating system operates 24 hours a day, and using cheats will result in account suspension and inclusion in the game’s blacklist.
