“The first national geometric reference imagery of our country was released”

Recently, the Ministry of Natural Resources officially released China’s first set of geometric reference images covering all land areas. The spatial resolution of these images has reached 0.5 meters overall, and the positioning accuracy has improved by more than 1 time compared to previous versions, providing a unified “spatial scale” for satellite remote sensing images. Currently, this set of images has been officially released and will be widely used in national-level applications such as natural resource survey and monitoring, commercial aerospace remote sensing, land survey, resource management, and emergency management. The aim is to significantly reduce the cost of related data production and promote technological progress in the industry.
