On August 11, 2026, Google announced on its official blog the launch of a research medical artificial intelligence system called AMIE. The core function of this system is to demonstrate real-time clinical video consultation capabilities in simulated environments. This is a groundbreaking study aimed at verifying AMIE’s actual performance in real clinical conversations by creating simulated scenarios. Currently, AMIE is independently developed by Google, and its research results for the first time prove that the system has the ability to conduct real-time clinical video consultations.
