Brave Browser has recently introduced a feature for email aliases, allowing users to register for websites without revealing their real email addresses. This feature requires users to create an account on Brave and bind it to their main email address first. When accessing websites, users can choose to use the alias through a pop-up window or right-click menu. Email messages received will be forwarded to the main email address. Brave only filters out spam and viruses for aliases, without reading the email content, and deletes data from the server after forwarding. This measure aims to prevent websites from using email addresses as personal identifiers for advertising tracking, cross-site data matching, and exposing the main email address due to data breaches. Currently, users can get five aliases for free; more options will be available with the Premium plan. All account data is encrypted, and synchronized notes support end-to-end encryption.
