On August 25, 2026, the American shared transportation platform Uber announced the official launch of real-time video streaming functionality for teen accounts. This update allows users with Teen-level accounts to initiate and participate in real-time video calls in a controlled environment. The purpose of this feature change is to provide minors with a more enriching interactive experience, while ensuring their safety through technical measures.
