“Dialogue Without Boundaries” by Zhang Yufeng: The robot coffee service will start regular operations at the end of October.
Zhang Yufeng, founder of Wujie Power, revealed that the robot coffee scenario is set to enter regular operation at a high-end coffee shop in Haidian Body Intelligence Innovation Industrial Park in Beijing by the end of October. Currently, this scenario is in the trial operation phase, and the team will optimize it based on training tests and customer needs in real environments. Safety is the biggest challenge; the wheeled dual-armed robots need to mix with customers for delivery, cleaning, and return to their designated positions. Additionally, the robots must identify personal items, have the ability to distinguish between items that can be cleaned and those that cannot, and adapt to complex situations such as changing lighting conditions and crowd dynamics, which are difficult to simulate in laboratories. The company’s strategy is to practice skills in industrial scenarios and apply generalization in commercial scenarios, aiming to prepare for future entry into home use. For now, due to high hardware and algorithm costs, the project focuses on B-side customers with higher labor costs, pursuing product-market fit (PMF). Previously, Wujie Power collaborated with the chain coffee brand HOLLYS in South Korea to create a “human-machine symbiotic immersive robot coffee space,” planning to launch it in the South Korean market this fourth quarter.
