Shandong Binzhou Le'an Yellow River Bridge reaches a critical milestone
On September 6, the closure of the first span of the main bridge of Binzhou Le'an Yellow River Highway Bridge (piers 16#-17#) was completed. The first span is 35 meters long and weighs approximately 228 tons per side. The project team monitored temperature and deformation data for 24 hours and selected the night period at 21 degrees Celsius to carry out the closure operation. During construction, strict control was exercised over alignment accuracy, welding quality, and the stability of temporary structures. Dynamic monitoring was conducted throughout to ensure the safety of the bridge’s alignment and structure. This closure marks a significant stage achievement in the construction of the steel box girder of the main bridge. The project team will use this as an opportunity to advance subsequent tasks and strive to open the bridge to traffic as soon as possible.
