Taizhong Group’s 400-ton quenching crane – the largest “steel behemoth” in the country in terms of tonnage is now in use.

On September 7, 2026, Taizhong Group’s independently developed quenching crane with the largest tonnage in the country was successfully put into operation at the user site. The equipment is 29 meters long, 14 meters wide, and 6.6 meters high, and is specifically used for the quenching process in heat treatment plants. The research and development team overcame technical challenges from three aspects: high-temperature resistance, fast and stable operation, and safety. High-temperature-resistant cables and a double-layer insulated cab were used to avoid high-temperature failures; the latest generation of PLC centralized control system was implemented for precise lifting; and an intelligent safety protection system was equipped to monitor data in real time and warn of potential risks. This is another record set by Taizhong Group in the field of metallurgical cranes, following the “550-ton casting crane”. The related equipment will continue to serve major national engineering projects.
