From theory to delivery: How Atos upskilled 400 engineers in agentic AI
Atos, in collaboration with AWS, organized a three-day “AI League” event in 2026 to help 400 engineers transform theoretical knowledge into practical AI delivery capabilities. The event targeted participants with varying levels of skills (5% had no prior experience, 20% had practical experience), requiring engineers to use AWS services such as Amazon Bedrock and Amazon Bedrock AgentCore to build autonomous agents with path planning, obstacle avoidance, and memory functions. They competed in real-time rankings based on performance and efficiency. Through practical exercises rather than traditional training, teams completed maze navigation, trap avoidance, and treasure retrieval tasks within a limited time, achieving rapid improvement from conceptual understanding to practical delivery capabilities.
