Indian fintech startup Navi received $100 million in external funding from Prosus in August 2026, marking its first institutional financing since its establishment by Sachin Bansal in 2018. This transaction increased Navi’s valuation to approximately $1.3 billion, after the company failed to secure financing at a valuation of around $2 billion in 2024. Navi provides financial services such as digital payments, lending, insurance, and mutual funds, and its app is the fourth-largest UPI app in India. As of the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2026, Navi had achieved overall profitability, although it recorded a net loss of approximately $48.74 million in the fiscal year ending March 2026, with revenues of about $323 million. This round of financing aims to support Navi’s efforts to go public, as the company previously planned to conduct an IPO for $440 million in 2022 but later canceled it.
