Seedance 2.5 has been launched; the first doors to be knocked open are those of factories and workshops
On July 31, ByteDance released the new generation video generation model Seedance 2.5. This model can produce videos up to 30 seconds in length and now includes local editing capabilities. This version iteration did not increase parameters but introduced editable features to meet the needs of the industrial sector. More than ten companies, including XCMG Group, Xpeng Motors, and Lingchu Intelligence, announced cooperation with Seedance 2.5. These partners are all factories, car companies, and robotics companies, marking the transformation of video generation models from “creative business” to “industrial infrastructure.” This model supports precise replacement of parts while maintaining the overall image and can stably handle high-complexity assets such as professional 3D white models, transforming video generation from “card-based games” into iterative workflows. Additionally, Seedance 2.5 performs well in training data synthesis, being used by companies in embodied intelligence, autonomous driving, and energy transportation to generate robot operation data, simulation videos for extreme conditions, and industrial SOP demonstrations, significantly reducing data collection costs and cycles. Industry experts point out that this model is moving from simply “generating content” to…
