On September 8, 2026, NESO, the UK national energy system operator, awarded Panatell Corporation in the United States a non-competitive direct contract worth £21.2 million. The contract aims to continue supporting its license issuance and operational support services on its Foundry platform, ensuring uninterrupted service during the launch of a new competitive procurement strategy. The original contract was signed in March 2023 but was not publicly disclosed. The new contract period lasts from September 8, 2026, to July 31, 2027, and can be extended until July 31, 2028. Panatell has committed to helping improve energy efficiency and promote net-zero transformation. Meanwhile, NESO is discussing with several suppliers new platform solutions incorporating AI innovation, which are expected to begin operation on July 31, 2027, and continue until 2032.
