GoPro says it’s still committed ‘to your collective stoke’
GoPro CEO Nick Woodman reiterated in a letter to customers that, despite Starman’s previous announcement of plans to acquire the company for $285 million, manufacturing cameras remains the company’s “core DNA”. Woodman stated that this merger would give GoPro a better position to continue developing content creation technologies. He also noted that in the transaction announcement, GoPro would work with Starman to address important national security issues related to camera, optical, and artificial intelligence infrastructure. YouTuber Mark “Markiplier” Fischbach, who previously became GoPro’s largest individual shareholder, was not mentioned.
