A super-high-rise construction project in Wuhan has introduced the “Anzibao” tower crane installation and dismantling intelligent monitoring system. Using AI vision recognition and digital twin technology, this system enables digital management of all processes involved in tower crane installation and dismantling. Developed by the team led by Zhao Tingsheng from Huazhong University of Science and Technology in collaboration with Wuhan Zhongdean Technology Co., Ltd., the system breaks up lifting operations into 21 standard procedures, enabling real-time monitoring and immediate response to potential risks. To date, “Anzibao” has been applied in 28 provincial-level administrative regions across China, ensuring the safety of over 3,500 construction projects involving tower cranes. It has managed more than 10,000 lifting operations, effectively preventing nearly 4,000 potential risks and filling a technical gap in the industry.
