MIT Quantum Initiative launches postdoctoral fellowship program
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology Quantum Initiative (QMIT) launched a postdoctoral fellowship program in December 2025, aiming to accelerate interdisciplinary quantum research and cultivate the next generation of scientific leaders. Funded by the Gordon and Betty Moore Foundation, this program is open to outstanding researchers in the fields of physics, chemistry, materials science, and biological and earth sciences. Selected participants will be integrated into research areas such as quantum computing, quantum sensing, quantum materials, quantum simulation, and quantum networks, and will work alongside electronic laboratories, Lincoln Laboratory, and various interdisciplinary centers. The program emphasizes cross-disciplinary exploration combining artificial intelligence with quantum science, aiming to strengthen MIT’s quantum community ecosystem through collaboration, mentorship, and intellectual exchange.
