If a universal technology architecture can be implemented and its coverage expanded on a large scale, the era of physical AI GPT will truly arrive. After DeepMind released Genie 3 in August 2025, domestic and international institutions have intensively engaged in the competition for positions in the world model field. As a representative of the approach centered on latent space representation, West Lake Digital Intelligence has completed seed and angel round financings worth hundreds of millions of yuan within half a year, focusing on developing the “conceptual world model.” The goal is to compress physical laws into latent space, providing decision-making capabilities for robots and autonomous driving. The team plans to complete internal validation training in September and achieve scale expansion on sizes smaller than 5B by December. A 10B physical base model will be released by June next year. The funds will be mainly used for personnel recruitment, computing power, and data expenses. In the short term, industry-specific solutions will be prioritized, while in the long term, the MaaS model will be pursued.
