The first-instance judgment in the case of Ning Jian, former deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation, was announced for bribery.

Recently, the Chengdu Intermediate People's Court in Sichuan Province rendered a public judgment in the first instance regarding the case of Ning Jian, former member of the Party Leadership Group and deputy director of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Transportation, for accepting bribes. The court found that Ning Jian used his position to seek benefits for others and illegally accepted property from others, and his actions constituted the crime of accepting bribes. In accordance with relevant provisions of the Criminal Law of the People's Republic of China, the court sentenced Ning Jian to ten years in prison and a fine of 200,000 yuan, and ordered the recovery of all illegal gains and submission to the state treasury.
