Anthropic announced that the Claude Fable 5.1 model has been officially launched on AWS Amazon Bedrock and the Claude Platform. This model is provided as a Covered Model and performs better than previous versions of Fable 5 in mathematical reasoning, engineering science, and long-step tasks. It supports autonomous coding, multi-application tasks, and end-to-end knowledge work. The aws_review mode is enabled by default, and AWS personnel conduct internal security reviews and retain data for up to 30 days. Enterprise customers can achieve zero data retention (ZDR) through Enterprise Frontier Safeguards (EFS), controlling prompts and outputs under their own encrypted and audit policies. This feature is expected to be available by December 31, 2026.
